Suzhou Daiming Electrical Launches Formaldehyde-Free, Low-VOC Eco-Friendly Enameled Wire Series Following Global Green Manufacturing Trends

2026-07-06

(Suzhou Wujiang, June 30, 2026) — In response to the global manufacturing industry’s low-carbon transition and evolving environmental regulations such as EU REACH, VOC control, and CBAM carbon tariff requirements, Suzhou Daiming Electrical Materials Co., Ltd. has officially completed the formulation upgrade and commercialization of its new generation of formaldehyde-free, low-VOC, solvent-free eco-friendly Enameled Wire products.

Developed in line with the latest technology trends from leading insulation material suppliers including WEG, Elantas, and Axalta, the new product family is designed for new energy vehicles, wind power generators, industrial transformers, high-end industrial motors, and international export markets. The launch marks another important milestone in the company’s commitment to green manufacturing and sustainable electrical materials.

Global Industry Moving Toward Green Insulation Technologies

The magnet wire industry has entered a new phase of environmental transformation.

In February 2026, Brazilian motor manufacturer WEG introduced its Breesy® formaldehyde-free insulation varnish capable of continuous operation at 200°C while eliminating traditional phenolic components.

German insulation specialist Elantas has expanded its high-temperature insulation production capacity by 25%, while its latest insulation systems reduce VOC emissions by approximately 30%, targeting high-voltage motors and wind turbine generators.

Meanwhile, Axalta and other international coating suppliers continue developing water-based, solvent-free and nano-modified polyimide insulation systems for 800V electric drive platforms, high-speed motors and data-center inductive components. Specialty PEEK insulated flat wire has also entered Tier-1 automotive validation programs.

Addressing Increasing Global Environmental Compliance

As international supply chains continue raising ESG and carbon traceability requirements, conventional phenol-containing and solvent-based enameled wire products face growing challenges, including:
    •    Higher VOC emissions
    •    Occupational health concerns
    •    Increasing exhaust treatment costs
    •    More stringent export compliance requirements

To meet these challenges, Suzhou Daiming Electrical has completed a comprehensive upgrade of its insulation material system and developed three environmentally friendly product families:
    •    Formaldehyde-free eco-friendly insulated enameled wire
    •    Low-VOC high-voltage flat wire
    •    Solvent-free nano-composite insulated conductors

The new product portfolio enables customers worldwide to better satisfy environmental regulations while maintaining high electrical performance and manufacturing reliability.
